Summer Means Time to Pack

The season is upon us. The weather is cloudy, rainy, sunny and windy in turns each day. Can't really say we've worn shorts yet, but one day we almost considered it. With our decision to move comes about a million decisions about what to keep and what to ship. We moved here with about 4800 pounds of stuff in a 20 foot container. Now we get to ship up to 42,000 pounds(!) to Anchorage using a different shipper within the state. Makes it easy to decide what to keep, but we still want to be rid of things we've not used in Ellensburg or Sitka. What could they be?

One thing we'll miss is walking in Totem Park, just a few minutes away. The forest is dark and the occasional totem pole is both spooky and reassuring as we walk the several paths which meander from the river to the beach to the town. Walking has become our favorite form of exercise. Moving to Anchorage means we will use our car much more often.
